Season 1 Episode 1: Feb.10, 2025

Denis and Rachel discuss two key events of her career: 1. winning a bronze medal at the Toronto Pan Am Games in only her second ever marathon and 2. having to withdraw from the 2017 world championships because of a stress fracture. And all her lessons learned about RED-S thereafter. Training & nutrition for marathon racing.

At just 9 years old, Patrick was struck by a drunk driver resulting in the amputation of both legs. He went on to play in 6 paralympic games where he won 3 gold medals plus 1 sliver medal, and was Canada's flag bearer in 2024. Quite simply Patrick is the Michael Jordan of wheelchair basketball. This is not just a story of athletic development, but of overcoming adversity.

Canada's first ever Olympic gold medalist in the sport of weightlifting! But the road was not easy. Finishing one spot off the podium in 2008, Christine had to re-evaluate her training (and life itself) to persevere for another quad. Became an Olympic medalist after the failed drug tests of her competitors, Christine is now an advocate for clean sport. And mental health. And, of course, the amazing utility of weightlifting toward so many other sports.

After discussing Ben's preparatory training & nutrition, Denis & Ben do a sit and watch of Ben's performance in each of the 6 disciplines from the 2024 Stihl TIMBERSPORTS® world championships. Biomechanics, physiology, awesome equipment, etc. Not to mention a simply unbelievable finale with some amazing life lessons.

Season 1 Episode 5: Mar.21, 2025

Denis and Heather discuss the development path that took her to 3 separate Olympic games. Only 3 other volleyball athletes have achieved this in Canadian history and Heather is the only female. Other topics of discussion include dynamics/ psychology of playing a partner sport, body image issues in beach volleyball and maintaining Olympic level performance as an "older" athlete.

In the mid 90s Eric Lindros was the most dominating hockey player in the world. Named one of the 100 greatest hockey players who ever lived. Today he is giving back to the game by coaching youth. Denis asks Eric to take us through his unparalleled career trajectory, and apply some of the lessons learned toward elite hockey development for players of all ages.

Fresh off an Olympic gold medal in Paris, Denis and Brendon discuss the training behind creating Olympic level sprinters. Denis & Brendon do a sit and watch analysis of two races: 1. Brendon running the 200 meters at the  2023 world championships and 2. Canada's exhilarating gold medal performance in the 4x100 relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Catriona Le May Doan is a living legend of Canadian Olympics! The first Canadian in history to successfully defend a gold medal in an individual sport at the Olympics.
